First Commonwealth Adds Business Banker to Cincinnati Region
CINCINNATI, OH (September 15, 2025) ― First Commonwealth Bank has announced the addition of a veteran banker to its Cincinnati Business Banking team.

Kevin Plaugher, who brings nearly 20 years of banking experience to First Commonwealth, joins the bank as a business banker in the Cincinnati region.
“We are excited to welcome Kevin to the First Commonwealth team,” said Amy McFarland, First Commonwealth’s Regional President in Cincinnati. “His familiarity to the market and strong background in business banking, SBA and leading teams makes him a good fit for our mission of being the best bank for businesses.”
Prior to First Commonwealth, Plaugher served the past two years as the SBA Operations Manager and Commercial Banking Relations Manager for a Cincinnati bank and prior to that, he spent 17 years in commercial banking leadership roles for several community and national banks.
Outside of banking, Plaugher has been active in several community organizations, serving as a member of Alloy Commercial Capital's loan committee for which he helps support the delivery of the SBA 504 and Ohio 166 loan programs to small businesses. Additionally, he serves as a member of the vestry and chancel choir of All Saints Episcopal Church. An avid musician, Kevin also plays acoustic guitar and sings with two Cincinnati area bands.
Plaugher graduated from Ohio University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2012. He also graduated with honors from the CBA Executive Banking School, attended Columbia University’s Embedding Strategic Excellence Program, and has been a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship and financing at the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
He and his wife, Christy, reside in Cincinnati's Pleasant Ridge neighborhood. They have two daughters, Kate and Lily.
